Persona 2 Tsumi – Exams

February 4th, 2009 | Categories: Games, Random Uploads

Hey, it’s been a long time, I know. Wipe away those tears of gladness, and listen up. I’ve had exams since, and now there’s only one left (Mechanics, pretty hard, but not as hard as Math). As you can imagine, I’m partying quite a lot now that my most difficult exam is behind me, but it’s not like I passed with flying colours, plus I didn’t study for Mechanics either. So let’s just keep this short.

I just started on Persona 2 Innocent Sin the day before yesterday, patched to English, on my PSP. I determined to give Persona 2 another chance (I got bored trying to contact the demons in Eternal Punishment) after listening to this:

So the singer wasn’t that great, big deal. It was amazing to hear vocals in a game, even if somebody already did voices on the Super Nintendo. I remember being amazed by that in the Velvet Room in EP. And it was 5am. And listen up, both Persona 2 games kick ass. EP has more anime cutscenes that look very good, though.

Remember Maya? She had such a cool theme in Eternal Punishment. Sadly, it’s easier for me to relate to a popular guy with cool looks than a hot journalist, which should explain why I’ve gotten further in Innocent Sin.

I also remember Katsuya:

You can eat food in this game, it gives you a temporary boost in stats. This is what happens when it runs out:

Eikichi can be summed up with this hilarious screenshot:

There’s humorous stuff like this sprinkled throughout the game. There’s Trish the extortionist fairy who charged me 10,000 yen to heal my party, the whole rumour-becomes-true motif, and of course, the former Russian spy.

As you can see, it’s the first game I’ve played in which the NPCs actually have something interesting to say. I mean, just go talk to all the townspeople in Final Fantasy, even the most recent ones. They have nothing interesting to say, and what they do say, you already know because you heard it in the last cutscene. I’m uploading a 24 minute gameplay video on Youtube as soon as I figure out how to crop and upload it. Fuck it. It’ll probably clear up any questions you have about this game.

Where did you find that wallpaper from Persona 2: Eternal Punishment/Innocent Sin?

The NPC sometimes have interesting stuff to say, not always.

I´ve wanted to play this for a long time, now I know of the patch, but I just can´t get around to start playing. Don´t ask me why I don´t start playing. I love the series and all. But I just can´t seem to get around to start playing. Must be because I have so much stuff to do and so many other games to play.

There you go. I saw it first on someone else’s eboot and thought – I must have that! So I found it after some time, I need a high res version though. I’ll leave that up to you.

Well… don´t ask me for high res version of that.

I know moe.imouto has some Shin Megami Tensei artwork, but not in the wallpaper department.

Thanks for the link though. I appreciate it.
