KDE4 is out, whoop dee doo

I’m too much of a minimalist to really care about DEs, but they can make life real simple. Mostly because most of the file managers out there suck old dried ass, and thunar and konqueror don’t.

That’s probably why I’m still on Windows, by the way. Hear that, Linux bigots? Damn, what wouldn’t I give to have the whole of Slashdot’s wrath come crashing down upon me. Linux still lacks a decent media player that can approach foobar2000… but I digress.

What was I here to talk about today? Hmm… that I missed the Mikado rehearsal again and I’ve been trying to find something concrete to work towards in real life? After watching Beck, my X Japan rivalry is burning again, and I really want to get a band going. Haven’t they got an album out already? Hurry up!

Watched first three episodes of X/1999 (0-2). Kamui seems cool, even more so than Lelouch. But of course, Lelouch wins hands down because he thinks. Tried to rip the DVD, but gave up, because it was too much of a hassle. Perhaps if I borrowed the Mahoromatic DVDs next time I might bother.

I really miss gaming, especially FPSs. I haven’t played a single first person shooter since I came to Canada. I miss Halo and Half Life 2. And of course, UT2K4. But I can’t. I must persevere… for I must get better grades. And here I am watching anime. Here’s a random picture.

Damn, I’m not enjoying myself here.

Doesn’t look like much of an improvement to me, really. The Vista-wannabe feel is just a little too much. Dolphin looks interesting, though.

Yeah, I just checked the screenshots again. KDE 4 tries so hard to be like Vista, it hurts. (shamefully ripped from a Darker than BLACK review, in which the reviewer claimed ‘Darker than BLACK tries so hard to be Cowboy Bebop, it hurts)

haha! you really try to defend Vista, ain’t yah? I like it. Sounds like Paul Thurott to me of WinSupersite. :)

If I didn’t have homework due tomorrow I’d post up a whole blurb about how I’m really bored with Windows and that’s why I really want to move to Linux the Wild West but I’m a bit busy at the moment. I even took the obligatory screenshot of Linux… haha.

OK. I’ll wait for that post about Linux! Try Xandros. :)
