Franz Liszt - Totentanz
Krystian Zimerman - Piano; Seiji Ozawa - Boston Symphonie Orchestra

If the last one didn't score high on the music tastes chart, this one will. Plus, Krystian Zimerman rips through this song like a katana through flesh jelly. And everybody knows Totentanz. Right?

You know, Ocean Waves was my first Studio Ghibli movie. I simply loved the feeling it gave me as I watched it. It is simply unique, indescribable when you finish it. Although I didn’t exactly understand everything that went on (or maybe I didn’t bother to remember, because fundamentally it’s all so simple) I remembered Ocean Waves for the incredible feeling of… happiness and sadness it brought at the same time, mixed really well together.

This is an announcement of a new page: Stuff I Rewatch. Doubtless my readers know how to access this new page. It is an attempt to write down every single thing I rewatch by having me write what this movie is about right after I finish it. I can never put up a complete list of what I rewatch in a moment’s notice, so this will take place over several months.

I rewatch Hard Boiled, Black Lagoon, GITS, and as you can see, I can’t really remember much except these. Ocean Waves I didn’t even think of until I found somebody playing that movie in Low Yat Plaza… and the catalyst was simply the OST, tucked away in the drawer. I need to get a high quality version of that. Share EX2, here I come!

The Ocean Waves article will contain spoilers, so I advise you to watch it first and make your own conclusion.

EDIT: I’ve seen some shit online about how Ocean Waves is fucking boring. I gotta say, these are probably the same tripes who watch DBZ all day.
