I can't believe it's been two weeks since I last changed the desktop. Now that I've gotten rid of my life, it's time to start pimping up the desktop again!

Franz Liszt - Totentanz
Krystian Zimerman - Piano; Seiji Ozawa - Boston Symphonie Orchestra
208kbps Ogg Vorbis (SSE3MTLancer)

If the last one didn't score high on the music tastes chart, this one will. Plus, Krystian Zimerman rips through this song like a katana through flesh jelly. And everybody knows Totentanz. Right?

(day two in this country where the internet is so motherfuckingly slow I can’t even load my PNG8 CSS banner on top of the page before the connection times out… tell me it’ll be fixed with pngcrush/bittorrent is throttled/there are so many freeloaders here lolipower.org banned us)

Yesterday my parents were miffed because I didn’t bring the textbooks. Today they were miffed because I spent some money maintaining the bike before leaving Canada (and giving it away, they were really miffed about that. I do understand, but I didn’t have much time, plus what mofo carries 100CAD on him in cash).

I wonder what it’s going to be tomorrow. Probably the Robot Volume 4. The day after that will probably be the Remember11 Limited Edition. The huge mass of DVD+Rs will probably be a factor, too. This is shaping up just like before. The sad thing is this time it can all be solved using money. Now if only the fucking laser printer worked so I could print out my resume.

Oh yeah, and all of a sudden nobody cares about me reading up about WiFi. Everybody wants me back on fucking university courses. I understand, nothing I can say about that here. But really, fuck that WiFi project coming up in a few days. Fuck that.

  1. Ugh, your parents almost seem like mine, but even worse. At least they don’t bitch about my spending habits (though they do keep saying that whatever I buy that isn’t food or school-related is still a waste of money).

  2. Heh, my parents say that too. Problem is, they told me to get out there and get a job today, but they said they’d also be coming back with two laptops for me to install Windows XP on (for a demo), and guess what. That wouldn’t be a problem if the phone actually worked.
