I can't believe it's been two weeks since I last changed the desktop. Now that I've gotten rid of my life, it's time to start pimping up the desktop again!

Random Song

Franz Liszt - Totentanz
Krystian Zimerman - Piano; Seiji Ozawa - Boston Symphonie Orchestra
208kbps Ogg Vorbis (SSE3MTLancer)

If the last one didn't score high on the music tastes chart, this one will. Plus, Krystian Zimerman rips through this song like a katana through flesh jelly. And everybody knows Totentanz. Right?

There’s another fucking version of Wordpress… again. What the fuck is so great about it? I’m getting really annoyed. Since most of what happened to me today is going to be boring for you guys anyway, I’m just going to make one sentence for each:

Went down and exchanged the bike rack (too small) for something that was wider and could fit on my bike. Unfortunately, by the time I realized it was really ugly and didn’t fit my colour scheme at all, I had already taken the wraps off. Guess I’ll wait until I get a job to buy another better looking rack.

Watching Galaxy Angel each morning really adds +5 to your Spirit. Downloading Season 4 right now.

How do I make a multi boot DVD? I’m trying to figure that out… I have MagicISO, and the tutorial on their website doesn’t explain what each step is doing.

COMODO Firewall has got to be the most well behaved firewall I’ve ever installed, rivaled only by Sygate. Unlike ZoneAlarm, it seems none of these software firewalls screw up Windows real bad when it gets screwed up too.

Having 50GBs of free space to play with sure is nice.

It’s really sad that I have to travel all the way to UBC just to get 1MB/s internet. It’s even sadder that I’m bothering to do just that.

Netscape is officially being discontinued. I used Netscape Navigator 4.0 through 4.76 before switching to IE. I don’t see how anybody could possibly care about it any more. Sorry, Netscape. Blame AWOL.

Really, I can’t think of anything better to write here. It would be nice if I had a clue about what this blog was supposed to be about, but if I did that, then I would hardly have anything to post here every day. Or maybe it’s a good thing not to post every day?

Wavpack makes smaller files than FLAC. Unfortunately, outside of Windows, I haven’t seen any program that plays .wv files. Just like with .ape files.

FLAC vs. Wavpack

Apparently Vista creates partitions that end ‘outside the disk’, so fdisk, parted, and Paragon’s Partition Manager all refuse to have anything to do with my XP partition. Now I’m in deep shit, because I can’t install Linux, and you need to do so in order to take advantage of aircrack-ng.

Hard disks are cheap here, but I still don’t have the financial resources to get one. Don’t get me wrong, it’s just that I hate spending my parents’ money for something that isn’t absolutely essential (unlike that Saitek P990 gamepad).

EDIT: OH MY FUCKING GAWD THE TRANSLATION FOR TALES OF PHANTASIA PSX IS FINALLY DONE!!! For those who don’t see what the big fuss is all about, ToP for Playstation is a lot more polished than the original. Instead of just having ‘X’ for tech attacks and ‘Up+X’, you can have up, down, left-right, and just normal X so now you can use a total of 4 techs in battle at any time. And you can cook. If you stand in the middle of the world map without doing anything, the characters now talk amongst each other. And Mint looks so much more cuter in the PSX version it’s not even funny. Oh, and did I tell you before? Sakuraba the piano player gets a new solo! I transcribed it halfway but then gave up. I don’t know how to figure out its time signature. The music in general has a lot more reverb to it, way too wet - I liked the SNES version’s music more.
